What you should be doing everyday as a serious realtor
Let’s be honest. The real estate market is crowded. Everyone is selling land. Some are even selling the same land you’re selling. So why should someone buy from you?
Now think about this: when you want to buy something online, don’t you check reviews? Don’t you feel better when you see the seller’s face, hear their voice, and feel like you can trust them? That’s exactly how your buyers feel too.
People don’t just buy land. They buy trust. And trust starts with seeing your face.
That’s why, as a serious realtor, one of the most powerful things you can do daily is create short videos with your face in them. Talk about the land you’re selling. Show the location. Explain the benefits. Answer common questions. Share stories of people who bought and are happy.
When people see your face often, they begin to feel like they know you. They start to trust you. And when it’s time to buy land, guess who they’ll call? You.
Let me give you an example.
There’s Chinedu in Enugu. He used to post only flyers. No sales. Then he started doing short videos—just 1 minute each. He would say, “Hello, my name is Chinedu. Today I want to show you this land in Nsukka. It’s 100% dry land, close to the express, and perfect for building.” He would show his face, then turn the camera to the land. Within 3 months, he sold 5 plots. Why? People saw him. They trusted him.
Or take Chioma in Abuja. She was shy at first. But she started doing videos explaining land documents—C of O, excision, gazette. People started messaging her, saying, “I like how you explain things. I want to buy from you.”
You don’t need a big camera. Your phone is enough. You don’t need to be perfect. Just be real. Be consistent. You can even speak your local dialect. Just be yourself.
So what should you be doing daily as a serious realtor?
1. Create a short video (1–2 minutes) with your face in it. Talk about a land, a location, or answer a common question.
2. Post it on your WhatsApp status, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
3. Follow up with people who viewed or commented.
4. Learn one new thing about real estate every day—so you always have something to talk about.
5. Visit your sites often. Show real-time updates in your videos.
If you do this every day, people will start seeing you as the go-to person for land. Not just another agent. But a trusted face in the business.
